Poem-- A Woman's Heart...

In the heart of a typhoon
lies an eye of calm,
In the hot, blazing fire
is a centre that’s cool
As in the darkness of sorrow
is the twinkle of hope,
As in the soul of a mortal
lives God.

The serene river flowing
hides a current of power,
The earth that we walk on
has a core of liquid fire,
Like the mild face of Love
with its ardour unseen,
Like the courage that’s latent
in Faith.

God made these small secrets,
then put them in one:
The fire and the ice,
the current and the storm,
The courage and the hope,
the faith and the love:
He created a great mystery—
a woman’s heart.
